Jewelry Care
18 Gold
To prevent damage to your white, yellow or rose gold jewellery, we recommend you store it safely away from other pieces to avoid unnecessary scratches. Gold should be kept away from harsh chemicals, such as cleaning and beauty products, to avoid discolouration to the metal.
CARING FOR YOUR PRECIOUS STONES
Diamonds
Diamonds are well known for their hardness, however they can still be chipped or cracked when knocked and special care should be taken to avoid harsh contact when worn. Diamonds can be easily cleaned using a small amount of liquid soap in hot water and dried using a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt and grease to bring back its shine.
Caring for Pearls
Pearl is very soft and easily scratched or abraded. But with reasonable care, pearl jewelry can be a lasting treasure. High heat can burn cultured pearls or cause discoloration, splitting, or cracking. For routine care, it’s best to wipe cultured pearls with a very soft, clean cloth after each wearing.
Sapphires & Rubies
Saphires& rubies can be damaged by even mild acids like lemon juice. Warm soapy water is always safe to clean with. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are usually safe for untreated, or heat-treated colored stones.
Emeralds
Heat can damage emeralds, especially by extending existing fractures.
Ultrasonic vibrations can weaken already-fractured stones.
Using warm, soapy water coupled with gentle scrubbing is the safest way to clean emeralds.
